Cause:
A .WAV driver is not installed but is required to play files of the type .WAV.
Solution:
In the 'Control Panel' window, double-click the 'Multimedia' icon and click the 'Advanced' tab. Double-click 'Media Control Devices' and select 'Wave Audio Device (Media Control)'. Click 'Properties' and select the 'Use this Media Control device' radio button. Click 'OK' twice.

2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Multimedia' icon. (The 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box appears.)

5) Double-click 'Media Control Devices'. (The branch expands, showing all devices.)

9) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the 'Control Panel' window.
